TUSD NAMES SEVERAL ADMINISTRATORS

Tracy Unified School District has named the following administrators, who will take on their new positions starting July 1, 2020.

Sean Brown has been named the Director of Special Education.

Derek Sprecksel has been named the Principal at Jacobson Elementary School.

Michael Burstein has been named the Principal at Bohn Elementary School. 

David Doyle has been named Assistant Principal at Kimball High School .

RAPTOR VISITOR SYSTEM

Tracy Unified is pleased to announce that we will begin using the Raptor Visitor Management System in all of our schools to strengthen our campus safety for students and faculty.

All visitors will be asked to present an ID such as a driver's license and it will be scanned into the Raptor system.

TEXTBOOK GIVEAWAY

The Tracy Unified School District will be discarding obsolete textbooks in these subject areas:

IB U.S. History-Social Science 
English Language Development (ELD)
Professional development materials from the Instructional Media Center

These materials will be available to teacher’s Tuesday, February 25 and public pick up Wednesday, February 26 through Thursday, February 27, 2020, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Tracy Unified School District (TUSD) Instructional Media Center (IMC), 1975 West Lowell, Tracy, CA 95376. 

Please bring your own bag or box.

TUSD LCAP STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITY

Cal Grants

Cal Grants are processed by the California Students Aid Commission (CSAC).  Setup your WebGrants account to check the status of your Cal Grant awards:

www.webgrants4students.org or https://mygrantinfo.csac.ca.gov

Kimball High School electronically uploads Senior student GPAs to CSAC on October 1st of each year.  Setting up the WebGrants account will tell students if their application has been processed and provides award details.

 

FESTIVAL OF CULTURES

TUSD's Diversity & Equity Committee presents Festival of Cultures.  It will be held at The Grand Theatre on March 11, 2020, at 6:30 p.m.

REGISTER FOR COLLEGE BOUND

The CBTUSD program helps families navigate the educational system while building self-esteem, establishing rapport with scholars, parents and counselors, monitoring grades, ensuring fulfillment of a-g college requirements, registering for college prep tests, and much more! 

Each TUSD high school has 38 spaces available, and we anticipate the program filling up quickly. 

CBTUSD meetings are held once a month, from 9am – 12 noon. Each scholar must want to attend college, be actively engaged and accompanied by a parent, guardian, caregiver and/or responsible adult for each workshop.

College Bound Dates and Times:

September 14th    9am - 12pm at KIMBALL
October 12th         9am - 12pm at KIMBALL
November 16th    9am - 12pm at KIMBALL
December 14th     9am - 12pm at WEST
January 11th        9am - 12pm at WEST
February 22nd     9am - 12pm at WEST
March 14th           9am - 12pm at TRACY
April 4th               9am - 12pm at TRACY
Monday May 4th – Program Finale 6pm – 8pm at Tracy High
